Oral Presentation Guidelines

Presentation format: Presentations should be prepared in a 16:9 aspect ratio. The presentation computers will support Microsoft PowerPoint 2019 or later (.pptx) and PDF files (.pdf), which can be opened using Adobe Acrobat Reader.

Presentation template: There is no official conference template. Authors are free to design their slides as they wish. However, please ensure that your Paper ID is clearly visible in your presentation.

Technical arrangements: The use of personal laptops for presentations is not permitted. All computers in the conference rooms are pre-configured.

Presenters are asked to bring their presentation files on a USB flash drive and submit them at the registration desk upon arrival.

Poster Presentation Guidelines

Preparation Instructions:
The poster must be read from a 2-meter distance easily and follow the rules below:

Size: A0 Format (Width: 841 mm, Height: 1189 mm).

Orientation: Portrait.

Paper ID: Please include your submission ID in the top right-hand corner: “Prague 2026 ID: XXXX”.

Header: Include the conference title, “Heat and Mass Transfer in Porous Media; Fundamentals and Applications”, at the top of the poster.

Recommended Structure: We recommend organizing your poster into clear sections, including Title, Authors’ names and affiliations, Content/Text which includes: Abstract (one or two sentences), Problem Definition and/or Aims, Governing Equations and Methodss, Results, Conclusions, and Nomenclature.

Technical Setup: You may submit your printed poster at the registration desk upon arrival. Our team will ensure it is ready for your poster presentation session on Tuesday, 20 October 2026.

Poster Printing Service

Participants may order poster printing until Wednesday, 14 October 2026.
Poster files (PDF or JPG format, maximum size A0 – 841 × 1189 mm) should be submitted by email to tomas.prajs@fs.cvut.cz.
Printed posters will be ready for collection at the conference registration desk upon arrival.
Price: EUR 35 per poster.

Publication in Scientific Journals

Authors of selected papers will be invited to submit full-length manuscripts for the HMT-PM 2026 Special Issue in the following journals with a high impact factor:

Special Issue Selection Procedure

Selected papers from the conference will be invited for submission to the journal special issues. The selection process will consider recommendations from  Session Chairs as well as the Scientific Committee.

Additionally, authors who are interested in having their conference studies for publication in the special issues are welcome to contact Prof. Moghtada Mobedi via email after the conference, and their requests will be considered.

Please note that all submitted manuscripts for the special issues will undergo a rigorous, anonymous peer-review process in accordance with the guidelines and standards of the respective journals.

HMT-PM 2026 First Announcement

Young Scientist Award

We are pleased to announce the opportunity to apply for the prestigious Young Scientist Award for Heat and Mass Transfer in Porous Media, which will be presented during the upcoming HMT-PM 2026 conference.
The aim of this award is to recognize and encourage outstanding scientific contributions by early-career researchers. The award recipients will be selected by an expert evaluation committee.

Key Information & Eligibility:

  • Number of Awards: Up to three young researchers will receive this award (contingent upon eligible applications).
  • Age Limit: Applicants must be under 35 years of age at the time of the application deadline.
  • Award Presentation: Winners will receive an official certificate. Please note that winners must attend the conference in person to receive their award.
  • Application Deadline: 12 October 2026

Important Information

  • Please note that at least one regular/student registration for each accepted paper must be completed.
  • Please note that each registered participant or presenting author may present no more than one paper at the conference (either oral or poster).

Short Abstract Submission

The submission of short abstracts has been closed.
Authors who did not submit a short abstract are still warmly encouraged to submit a two-page extended abstract.

Extended Abstract Guidelines

  • The abstract must be written in English.
  • All submissions must be original and not published elsewhere.
  • Each author may be indicated as a presenting author only once in the submission form.
  • The total length of the extended abstract is limited to 2 pages.
  • The abstract should clearly state:
    • the purpose of the work,
    • the methodology,
    • the results,
    • and the conclusions (approximately 150 words).
  • The online submission form must be used for abstract submission. Abstracts sent by e-mail cannot be accepted.
  • Abstracts cannot be modified after submission.
